Thank you to everyone who donated to the Alabama Disaster Relief Offering during the month of February. We received a total of $828.60.

Lip Sync 2015

Lip Sync 2015 -“So You Think You Can Sync” – Sunday, March 8 at 6:00 p.m. – Admission is $5 and covers your meal and top-notch entertainment (or at least the best we could find). The meal includes hamburger, chips, drink and dessert. Sign-up today at the Information Table.  We are also looking for the funniest, most creative and wholesome acts, so if you would like to be a part of the entertainment let Brandon know.

Gridiron Men’s Conference

The event is Gridiron Men’s Conference and is June 19-20 BJCC in Birmingham. We need to register before March 25. The cost for the conference is $139 per person (this includes hotel stay and conference registration). Please contact Joey Smothers at 256.466.1621 for more information.

Men’s Ministry Breakfast

Our Men’s ministry will have a men’s breakfast on Saturday, March 7. Plans are to eat around 7:30 a.m. Your sons are welcome to attend with you. Please sign-up at the Information Table if you plan to attend so we can know how much to prepare.

Ladies Softball Sign-Ups

If there are any ladies (16 years and older) interested in playing in the ladies church softball league, please sign up at the Information Table as soon as possible. Each individual player will be responsible for a portion of the entry fee and cost of shirt. Men’s Softball Sign-Ups

It is time for Parkview Baptist Men’s softball sign up. Age 16 and above are eligible. Practice will start in March and the season will start in April consisting of a 12 game regular season and a postseason tournament. Games are played on Tuesday nights. Cost will be $50 each due by Sunday, March 1 and this will cover fees and equipment. Please sign-up at the Information Table. If you have questions contact David Martin or Jonathan Glaze.

Staycation 2015

Staycation 2015 is a community-wide, multi-church mission event. The dates are March 22-26 (spring break week). This is sponsored by Cave Springs Baptist Church and is open to anyone in the church 10 years old and up. For any adults with children younger than 10, child care will be provided each day. Anyone younger than 7th grade will need a parent to accompany them. Each day will have a speaker, worship band, mission project, bible study, lunch and dinner. The cost is only $20 and registration forms and money are due by March 11. Anyone wanting to sign up or if you need more info please see Brandon.

NCC Fundraiser

For the sixth year, the Neighborhood Christian Center will host a soup dinner fundraiser that includes a silent auction for large serving bowls/platters/art painted by local artists. At the fundraiser, guests eat soup donated by local restaurants out of their hand-painted bowls that they keep. This unique and fun event raises funds for the NCC while giving their programs exposure to our community. This year’s funds will go specifically to their educational and discipleship programs and to their summer teen program. Tickets are $35 and may be purchased from the NCC, Jimmy Smith Jewelers, or Kathleen’s Fine Art & Interiors. Tickets purchased by this Wednesday will guarantee you a painted bowl at the door, or you may go by the NCC and paint one yourself before Wednesday. Painted bowls will be given on a first come, first served basis for tickets purchased at the door. A silent auction on a variety of local artist will be on display at Kathleen’s Fine Art & Interiors beginning February 27.

After Hours

On Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. in the Fieldhouse, we are learning how to, not just read the Bible, but study it for ourselves. Join us as we study the book of Joshua. We usually have food, so please let Melissa Moore know if you plan on attending.


S.N.A.C. will be tonight from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. for all students. Please bring a your own snack. Drinks will be provided.

Save the Date

We will be having the AWANA Grand Prix on March 15 at 5:45 p.m. Each child currently in AWANA that wishes to race must make a car (old ones will not be allowed for kids). The cost of the kit will be $5.00 and can be purchased during AWANA. We will have workdays, in the Activity Room, where gentlemen will volunteer their time on Sunday afternoons to work on cars beginning February 8 – March 1. Please see the sign up sheet on the Information Table to sign up for your child’s assigned workday. We will also have an open class that will allow adults to race their treasured cars as well!
