Vacation Bible School

Please join us for Journey Off the Map, June 8 – 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (ages 4 years – 6th grade) We will be discovering that Jesus is our ultimate guide. Please click the link below to register your child for VBS. Please note if your child attended last year, I have already rolled them over into this year’s VBS. The only reason you would have to do anything is if there were changes in your address, emergency contact, or allergy information. If you need to make any changes you may do so at this website. If you have a brand new student please go to the above website and register them online. It is a very easy process and will help us immensely. Can’t wait to see all the kids at Journey Off the Map!—Bridgette Guest, Minister of Preschool/Children.

Texas Mission Trip Sign-Up

This is a mission trip to Los Fresnos, Tx. on July 18-25. This is for anyone that is 12 and up. We need people for back-yard bible clubs, worship services, and construction projects. The cost is $180/person and will cover lodging, travel, supplies, and food. This is a great opportunity for our church to partner with another church and help them to impact their community. Sign-up today at the Information Table. A $50 deposit is due by June 7. See Bubba for more details.

Sav-A-Life Bottle Drive

Sav-A-Life Pregnancy Center’s Baby Bottle Drive will be going on throughout the month of May. Empty baby bottles are available for pick-up at the Information Table. These fill up nicely with change, bills, or even checks! (Please make checks payable to Sav-a-life.) There will be a drop-off box available to return bottles at the Information Table.

Fishing Event

The Men’s Ministry will have a fishing outing on Saturday, June 27 6:00 a.m.-Noon at Wolverine Park by Point Mallard. Your sons are welcome to attend with you. There is plenty of area to fish from the bank or bring your boat (ramp on site). Will fish till ~10:30 a.m., then prepare for lunch. Those that prefer not to fish can fellowship at a playground area, tennis courts, and we have also reserved the pavilion. We will take up an offering to help cover cost of the park and food. Please sign up at the Information Table so we can prepare accordingly. If you have a boat and have room for passengers, please indicate that on the signup sheet and how many could ride with you. This will be a great time to fellowship as we fish! Will provide more details as we get closer to the date.

Outreach Opportunity

Tammy Benton needs your help with an outreach opportunity coming up for Parkview this Saturday, May 30, 2015. That Saturday morning there will be a 5K race in Priceville, and she will have a pop up tent at the race site where we’ll be handing out free cookies to the folks attending the event. Along with cookies each person that comes to our tent will be given a hand out with Parkview’s name and times of service. Anyone that would be willing to make and donate cookies would be greatly appreciated. There is a sign up sheet outside the Activity Room. The cookies need to be at the church Friday, May 29  before the church closes at 2:00 p.m. If this is not convenient for folks that work, just let Tammy know and she will work out another time. A few volunteers are also needed to help man the tent. This will be a fairly simple and inexpensive way to advertise for our church. For anyone that wants to help the day of the race, we should be there from 7:00 a.m. until about 10:30 or 11:00 a.m. You wouldn’t have to stay the whole time if you just wanted to come by for a short while to help out. The race will be held at the old Priceville Library at 103 Faye Drive at the field behind Veteran’s Park. Please park behind Food Land or at Veteran’s Park and walk over.

Shower Invitation

The church has received an invitation to the baby shower of Patrick and Mary Howell on Sunday, June 7 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. The parents are registered at Walmart, Target and Amazon. It’s a boy!
