On Saturday, August 5, we will be packing sack lunches (sandwich, chips, and cookie or brownie) to take to people in the ICU waiting room at Decatur Morgan Hospital. We will also provide a tray of sandwiches or pot of soup, etc. and a dessert for the nurses working in ICU. We will meet at the church at 10:30 a.m. to pack the lunches. There is a sign-up sheet at the Information Table to help with the sack lunches. Anyone interested in volunteering to prepare something for the nurses please contact Tammy Benton.

It’s back to school time and FNES has asked for some teacher supplies to help get the new school year started. Items requested are: Clorox/Lysol disinfecting wipes, paper towels, colored copy paper (any color), and hand sanitizer (such as Germ-X). We also will begin collecting food for the Backpack Ministry. This will start back a few weeks after school has started. You can donate food items or make a monetary donation by placing it in the “Special Offering” envelope and indicate it is for the Backpack Ministry. A list of accepted food items is at the Information Table. PLEASE DO NOT SEND ANY ITEMS CONTAINING NUTS OR PEANUT BUTTER. Thank you for your support of this ministry.

Mark your calendars! The church has reserved the Hartselle Aquatic Center and Pavilion on Sunday, August 6. Dinner will be at 5:00 p.m. The pavilion will be reserved from 2:00 to 8:00 pm, and we will have use of the pool from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.  Please sign up today at the Information Table.

We are celebrating Christmas in July by helping out Clothe Our Kids of Morgan County collect items as school starts back.  Please help us collect the following full-size items: shampoo, soap, deodorant, combs/brushes, and athletic/tennis shoes in child size 10 to adult size 10.  Please place donations under the Christmas tree near the Activity Room. The last day to drop off donations will be July 30.

During the month July, we will not have any Sunday evening activities on campus.

Our next Terrific Tuesday will be on Tuesday, July 25, at the Florence Splash Pad. We will be leaving the church at 10:00 am and returning around 1:30 pm.  The children will need to bring a sack lunch. Please sign-up at the Information Table or see Ashley Holmes for more information.

July 24-27, 2017 is our last week of Camp Promiseland. We have had a great time this summer and we'll be wrapping up the fun with carnival week. We will have fun making puffy paint caramel apples, enjoying popcorn and snow cones, and getting wet on water day.  Thursday will be our End of Summer Bash. The kids will present a program for our families and then we will all enjoy lunch and some carnival games. In chapel we will be learning about prayer. We have had 64 kids enrolled in Camp Promiseland this summer. Thanks for investing in this ministry!
