During the month of May, the deacon body will be taking recommendations/nominations for Deacons to serve for three years starting in August. We will be replacing seven deacons that will be rotating off. The nomination forms and collection box are located at the Welcome Center. Please prayerfully consider who you will nominate to serve taking into consideration information listed on the form. If you have any questions please see Jeff Howard or any serving Deacon (listed on form).

On Sunday, May 19 after our morning worship service, we will have a spaghetti luncheon to raise money for our students that will be going to camp. The cost of the lunch is $6.00 per person. After lunch, we will have a dessert auction to raise money as well. If you would like to donate a dessert to be auctioned off please sign-up at the Welcome Center.

Daikin has asked us to volunteer at their Memorial Day Festival again this year on May 24. We would be helping in setting up tables and chairs, bus loading, registration, hot air balloon line management, lost & found, fun & games, or serving food. Volunteers must be at least 14 years old. Not only is Daikin generous enough to host this free event for the community each year, they also provide a cash payment back to the church based on the number of volunteers we have helping, so volunteering helps our community as well as our church.  If you would like to help with this outreach event or have any questions, please contact Tammy Benton. Please sign-up at the Welcome Center.

The men’s softball team will play on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 7:30 and 8:30 pm.  They will play Lifepoint and Flint Church of Christ at Wilson Morgan Park Field 4 at 7:30 pm and Field 2 at 8:30 pm.  Please come out and support our team!

We would like to welcome all new families or first time visitors today to our service.  Our pastor, Michael Morgan, will be available to meet you after the service at the Welcome Center.  We are so glad you chose to visit with us today!

We will be working hard this week to make final preparations for our 2019 Camp Promiseland. God has already blessed us with over 70 kids enrolled. Our numbers always grow during the month of May, so we are anxiously waiting to see how many campers we will have this summer!

We have recently started communication through an app called Band. Please download the app and then email Miss Ashley requesting your unique invite code!

Minister to Preschool and Children, Ashley Holmes

Providing an effective children’s ministry involved a critical need for volunteers from within the church. If you are interested in serving in ANY facet of ParkviewKids, please do not hesitate to let Miss Ashley know! We are always looking for volunteers to help love on our babies and kiddos!

ParkviewKids: Security

Here at ParkviewKids, we value the safety and respect of our children as well as our parents. We use a system called KidCheck to check children in and out of our facilities in order to ensure they are picked up by the right people. If you do not have a KidCheck account, please take the time to create one and add your child online at If you have used KidCheck at a previous church or facility, your account should still be accessible from our computers. This check-in process also allows us to document allergies, attendance, and other special needs that may arise.

ParkviewKids: 5th/6th Grade

Sunday Morning
Our 5th and 6th graders meet together in room 400 for Sunday School with Shawn and Shana Johnson. They do not have their own worship service like the children do, but instead go to “big church” to worship alongside their families!
Sunday Evening
FLYTE (Faith & Life Together) is a Bible study curriculum for kids ages 10-12 – one that speaks to what they’re dealing with right now, not what’s past or in their future. Our 5th/6th graders love FLYTE and we are excited to continue this study!
Wednesday Evening:
Wednesday nights for our 5th/6th graders are a special time of Bible Study. We like to take studies that our preteens can use in the current phase of life, and implement them every day. We have previously done studies on Experiencing God, the Armor of God, and How Sin is Like SLIME!

Our Vision

Here at Parkview, we see a specific need with our 5th/6th grade age group. They are not yet ready for the youth, but they are also starting to feel they have “outgrown” the children’s ministry. We (and the kids) love having this opportunity to be their own ministry sect of PVK.. We allow them to have more privileges and opportunities that they might not receive in the younger age groups, while still keeping studies and activities at an age appropriate level. Our goal is to teach them to be great leaders within ParkviewKids, while also preparing them Biblically for their time ahead when they move into Fieldhouse Student Ministry..
