If you have moved in 2018 or changed a phone number or email, please  provide the church with this  information by completing the tear off portion of this bulletin and dropping it in the offering plate.  This enables us to keep our records up to date.  Thank you!

January 27, 2019, 6 pm Message: Experiencing God in Prayer Scripture: Jonah 2:1-10

                 * February 3: Chapter 3 - Experiencing God in His Redemptive Work                  * February 10: Chapter 4 - Experiencing God’s Mercy

It is time for casserole and rose deliveries to our widows, widowers, and homebound members. We will be delivering roses and casseroles/soup or chili. I need volunteers to prepare the food and volunteers to deliver. Prepare a main dish casserole, soup or chili in an 8 X 8 or round disposable container, bring it already frozen with cooking or reheating directions attached. Please make sure it is in disposable containers and already frozen. Make sure that whatever you prepare would serve as a stand-alone meal. Please have the food at the church by 9:30 am, Saturday, February 9. Delivery will start at 10 am.  It would be fine to bring the food sometime during the week before, just label it for the Valentine delivery and put it in the deep freeze in the kitchen. There will be a sign-up sheet at the Information Table. Fifty casseroles are needed and enough volunteers for 50 visits. It will only take a couple of hours of your time and will mean so much to you and the recipients that you cook for and or visit. Contact Tammy Benton with any questions.

Minister to Preschool and Children, Ashley Holmes

Providing an effective children’s ministry involved a critical need for volunteers from within the church. If you are interested in serving in ANY facet of ParkviewKids, please do not hesitate to let Miss Ashley know! We are always looking for volunteers to help love on our babies and kiddos!

ParkviewKids: Security

Here at ParkviewKids, we value the safety and respect of our children as well as our parents. We use a system called KidCheck to check children in and out of our facilities in order to ensure they are picked up by the right people. If you do not have a KidCheck account, please take the time to create one and add your child online at If you have used KidCheck at a previous church or facility, your account should still be accessible from our computers. This check-in process also allows us to document allergies, attendance, and other special needs that may arise.

ParkviewKids: 5th/6th Grade

Sunday Morning
Our 5th and 6th graders meet together in room 400 for Sunday School with Shawn and Shana Johnson. They do not have their own worship service like the children do, but instead go to “big church” to worship alongside their families!
Sunday Evening
FLYTE (Faith & Life Together) is a Bible study curriculum for kids ages 10-12 – one that speaks to what they’re dealing with right now, not what’s past or in their future. Our 5th/6th graders love FLYTE and we are excited to continue this study!
Wednesday Evening:
Wednesday nights for our 5th/6th graders are a special time of Bible Study. We like to take studies that our preteens can use in the current phase of life, and implement them every day. We have previously done studies on Experiencing God, the Armor of God, and How Sin is Like SLIME!

Our Vision

Here at Parkview, we see a specific need with our 5th/6th grade age group. They are not yet ready for the youth, but they are also starting to feel they have “outgrown” the children’s ministry. We (and the kids) love having this opportunity to be their own ministry sect of PVK.. We allow them to have more privileges and opportunities that they might not receive in the younger age groups, while still keeping studies and activities at an age appropriate level. Our goal is to teach them to be great leaders within ParkviewKids, while also preparing them Biblically for their time ahead when they move into Fieldhouse Student Ministry..

This is "P" week at Promiseland. In enrichment classes this week we will be: experimenting with penny boats, making paper mache planets, and having fun with play dough free play. We will also be reading "If You Give a Pig a Pancake" and eating pancakes. In chapel this week, our theme is prayer and our Bible vocab word is comforter. Our character of God is "comforter". Our verse for the week is "he LORD is near to all who call on him." Psalm 145:18.
