On Saturday, August 4, we will be preparing sack lunches (sandwich, chips, and cookie or brownie) to take to people in the ICU waiting room at Decatur Morgan Hospital. We will also provide a tray of sandwiches or pot of soup, etc. and a dessert for the nurses working in ICU. We will meet at the church at 10:30 a.m. to prepare the lunches. There is a sign-up sheet at the Information Table to help with the sack lunches. Anyone interested in volunteering to prepare something for the nurses please contact Tammy Benton.

The senior adults will be taking a trip to Stone Bridge Farms in Cullman for dinner on Thursday, July 26, 2018.  We will leave the church at 5:15 pm on the bus. The cost of the meal is $12, plus there will be a small gas charge. Please sign up today if you plan to join us for dinner.

We need people to prepare casseroles and people to deliver casseroles on Sunday, August 12 at 5 pm.  The casseroles can be prepared in advance and stored in the deep freezer at the church until delivery date. Just mark the container as “Homebound/Sick.”  Please prepare a main dish casserole, soup, or chili in an 8x8 or round disposable container, bring it already frozen with cooking or reheating directions attached. Make sure that whatever you prepare would serve as a stand-alone meal, so the receiver will not have to try to cook anything to go with it.  On delivery date, there will be names, addresses, and maps for each person and the delivery times depends on the number of volunteers that show up for delivery.

There will be an informational meeting for those interested in going to the Alaska mission trip next year.  The meeting will be held on Sunday, August 5 at 4 pm for the students and their parents.  This trip is for the students going into the 11th and 12th grade this Fall. The trip is scheduled for June 2-8, 2019. Also, if there are any adults interested in going on the mission trip, you are welcome to attend this meeting.  If you have any questions, please see Jeremy Meetze.

On Monday, July 30, the ladies will be having "Boomerang Nights", where we do one hour of outreach to benefit others and one hour of in-reach to benefit ourselves. The night will begin at 5:30 pm with a fellowship/snack time, and then we'll move into various classes for the next two hours. You can sign up for a class during the first hour AND second hour for each night (or just one if you only have time for that!). We hope this will be a great time to minister together!

Perhaps you or your children got in trouble for writing on the wall in your house.  Well, according to Daniel 5:5, God wrote on the wall of a king’s palace.  But God’s writing on the wall delivered a serious message to the king.  It said “Mene, Mene, Tekel, Parsin”. Come see what that means Wednesday night.  We will meet in the Fellowship Hall.

Don’t forget Zumba is Tuesday evenings at 6:30 pm and Yoga classes on Thursday evenings at 6:30 pm.   We meet in the Activity Room.  Contact Susan Alexander with any questions.

Parkview kids, please join us for fun theme nights every Wednesday at 6 pm throughout the summer.  The theme for this Wednesday night is Water Wars.

This is "Carnival" week at Camp Promiseland. We will be making circus tents, making and enjoying circus snack mix, enjoying water day, & our birthday pizza lunch. For our last day, we will have a program for our parents and enjoy lunch and carnival games. In chapel, our summer vacation stop will be the fair. Our Bible story will be about Matthew. We will talk about how God wants us to love everyone, even those that are different from us.
