Meet Our Staff!

JEREMY MEETZE: Student Pastor

Jeremy was called to serve The Lord in an unusual place; working as a prison guard. He grew up in the church, but never thought that he would go into ministry. Following high school graduation, he went into law enforcement and worked in the Florida Prison System. Through that, God really softened his heart for teenagers and gave him the desire to serve them.

He graduated from The Baptist College of Florida in 2016 with a degree in Leadership/Christian Education. In an effort to continue his growth and improve his leadership skills he is currently pursuing a Masters of Theological Studies from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Jeremy identifies with one bible verse in particular; Psalm 46:10 || Be still, and know that I am God.
The world that we live in is so fast, and so distracting that we have to be reminded to be still and remember God is still God.

ASHLEY HOLMES: Minister of Preschool & Children

The Lord used many events in Ashley’s life to orchestrate her call to ministry, including 2 summers working for FUGEcamps and a year working for LifeWay and WayFM. She learned hands-on what career ministry looked like through the eyes of the career in media that she was pursuing. God used camp to show her what it looks like to do ministry one-on-one with students. She enrolled in seminary after her 2nd summer of camp, and the Lord continued to orchestrate the rest!

I have always loved children and getting to invest in their lives, and am thrilled that the Lord saw fit to bless me with my ministry as well as leading me to Parkview.

Ashley has her BS in Communication and a minor in Vocal Performance from the University of Mobile in Mobile, AL. She is currently pursuing a Master of Art in Christian Education in Children’s Ministry from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. What initially drew Ashley to Parkview was the family feeling and immediate connection. She grew up in Decatur, so Parkview was a church she was already a bit familiar with and knew of. She loves Parkview’s heart for service, both inside the church walls and in the community.Ashley leans on John 16:33 as a verse of comfort; “I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have tribulation, but take heart: I have overcome the world.”
