N.C.C. is in need of pies, cakes, and help delivering Thanksgiving meals to those in need. Cakes and pies need to be dropped off at Austinville United Methodist Church Wednesday, November 27, between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., and meals need to be delivered all over the city Thanksgiving Day. With the help of volunteers from the community N.C.C. is normally feed over 1,100 people on Thanksgiving Day that would normally have to do without a meal that day. Volunteers meet at Austinville United Methodist at 9:00 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day, get delivery assignments, then head out. You can deliver as few or as many meals as you’d like. From meeting at the church at 9:00 a.m. to delivering 4 to 5 meals usually takes about 2 hours of your time. If you have questions please see Larry or Tammy Benton, or visit N.C.C.’s website for details.

Our Senior Adults will be going to Stonebridge Farms in Cullman, AL Thursday, November 21. We will leave the church no later than 5:15 p.m. The cost is $12.00 per person. We are thankful for the willingness of Parkview to partner with us in ministry to the families in this community. We are thankful for the families and children that God has sent to our school. We are thankful for how God has blessed this program and allowed for the growth that we have seen. We pray you have a blessed Thanksgiving! We have recently started communication through an app called Band. Please download the app and then email Miss Ashley requesting your unique invite code!

Minister to Preschool and Children, Ashley Holmes

Providing an effective children’s ministry involved a critical need for volunteers from within the church. If you are interested in serving in ANY facet of ParkviewKids, please do not hesitate to let Miss Ashley know! We are always looking for volunteers to help love on our babies and kiddos!

ParkviewKids: Security

Here at ParkviewKids, we value the safety and respect of our children as well as our parents. We use a system called KidCheck to check children in and out of our facilities in order to ensure they are picked up by the right people. If you do not have a KidCheck account, please take the time to create one and add your child online at kidcheck.com. If you have used KidCheck at a previous church or facility, your account should still be accessible from our computers. This check-in process also allows us to document allergies, attendance, and other special needs that may arise.

ParkviewKids: 5th/6th Grade

Sunday Morning
Our 5th and 6th graders meet together in room 400 for Sunday School with Shawn and Shana Johnson. They do not have their own worship service like the children do, but instead go to “big church” to worship alongside their families!
Sunday Evening
FLYTE (Faith & Life Together) is a Bible study curriculum for kids ages 10-12 – one that speaks to what they’re dealing with right now, not what’s past or in their future. Our 5th/6th graders love FLYTE and we are excited to continue this study!
Wednesday Evening:
Wednesday nights for our 5th/6th graders are a special time of Bible Study. We like to take studies that our preteens can use in the current phase of life, and implement them every day. We have previously done studies on Experiencing God, the Armor of God, and How Sin is Like SLIME!

Our Vision

Here at Parkview, we see a specific need with our 5th/6th grade age group. They are not yet ready for the youth, but they are also starting to feel they have “outgrown” the children’s ministry. We (and the kids) love having this opportunity to be their own ministry sect of PVK.. We allow them to have more privileges and opportunities that they might not receive in the younger age groups, while still keeping studies and activities at an age appropriate level. Our goal is to teach them to be great leaders within ParkviewKids, while also preparing them Biblically for their time ahead when they move into Fieldhouse Student Ministry..
